Inpatient Admissions

The inpatient admission process starts with scheduling an evaluation to meet with a clinical liaison for an initial assessment. This often takes place at our rehabilitation hospital or at the patients’ homes.

Admissions Criteria

Inpatient

Be 14 years of age or older
Require physician supervision and 24-hour nursing care
Be able to participate in at least two therapy disciplines (physical, occupational or speech therapy)
Be medically stable and able to tolerate approximately three hours of therapy per day
Be medically stable enough to no longer require a medical/surgical setting
Be physically and mentally capable of actively participating in a rehab program
Demonstrate the potential to improve functional independence
Meet financial and insurance requirements

Outpatient

(Day Neuro)

Be 14 years of age or older
Have experienced a neurological condition or a change in functional ability
Require at least two therapy services and/or one support service
Able to actively participate in a structured therapy program
Meet financial and insurance requirements

The NeuroMedical Center Rehabilitation Hospital accepts all major health plans. Not all insurance providers are listed. Our Business Office is available Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm to answer any of your insurance and billing questions (225) 906-3829.
