Success Stories

A stroke brought me to The NeuroMedical Center. The stroke affected my left side, and left it nonfunctioning. When it occurred, I had no movement in my left side. In just a two month span, I am now able to walk and move my left arm again. This made a tremendous impact on my life because it gave me a feeling of being normal again. At one point I felt like my life was over, but now I have hope.

This whole journey, which is not finished yet, has taught me great patience. I’m grateful for the angels here at The NeuroMedical Center Rehab Hospital, the therapists and nursing staff, who took out the time to put up with me in my most frustrated moments. My therapists, inpatient and now outpatient, have both played critical parts in my recovery.

I love that I am fortunate to be able to have been in NeuroMedical Rehab’s inpatient program, and now attending therapy at their outpatient program because of the great carry over.

A stroke brought me to The NeuroMedical Center. I came as an inpatient. Currently, I am in Outpatient therapy. When I first came to NeuroMedical, the stroke had affected my right side and I could not walk. Since then, I have received very good care from the staff in both inpatient and outpatient services. I am now able to walk without a cane or walker. Gaining my ability to walk has given me my independence back, and has made a great impact on my life.

All the therapists and nurses treated me with great care and had friendly personalities. They have all played a critical part in my recovery.

I would recommend The NeuroMedical Center Rehabilitation Hospital to anyone needing services after a stroke.

I woke up one Saturday morning at 6 am and I was at The NeuroMedical Center Rehab Hospital. The doctor told me I ruptured a blood vessel on the left side of my brain. This caused me to lose function on the right side of my body. I stayed in inpatient rehab for two weeks. Since my time in inpatient, and now in outpatient, I have regained use in my right hand, and I am walking again.

Gaining these things back has impacted me greatly. You do not realize how much you rely on them until you do not have them. When I got to rehab, Alexis, my physical therapist, and Jaci, my Occupational therapist, were both very friendly people.  This made it a nice transition from inpatient to outpatient.
